HOSANNA!

preparing the way of the lord

The palm branch signifies worship, a plea of "Hosanna," meaning "God save us!" Jesus's triumphal entry into Jerusalem, Palm Sunday, is a moment of heaven's worship displayed on earth as it reflects the use of palm branches echoing Revelation 7:9.

In John 12, the crowd lays down palm branches, preparing the way of the Lord (echoing Isaiah 40) before Jesus conquers the cross. The same people shouting "Hosanna!" will cry, "crucify him!" only a week later.

Everyday Heirloom's hand-sculpted palm branch is carved with twelve total leaves, emphasizing the importance of twelve throughout scripture (twelve tribes of Israel, twelve disciples, measurements of twelve used in and around the Holy City in Revelation 21).

Beloved, we are entering a season of Hosanna: a season of worship for the God Who Saves. Let us prepare the way of the Lord in His second coming! Until that day, let us pave a path of righteousness for those who are to flourish on our vine of faith. May our worship echo heaven on earth and unite every generation, nation, every tribe and tongue.

We will sing, and they will cry with one voice, "Hosanna!"

The next day the large crowd that had come to the feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem. So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying out, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!”

John 12:12-14

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands...

Revelation 7:9

BECOMING

A Transformed life

We are all on a journey of being transformed into who God has called us to be. We are not the same person we were when we came to Christ; we are new and being made new. Everyday Heirloom’s hand-sculpted butterfly wing serves as a tangible reminder of this truth: as Christians, we have received a new identity. The pattern on the wing holds eight segments and a sequence of eight circles along its top edge (in ancient Hebrew, eight represents new beginnings). The open segments incorporate the wearer in the composition of the design as the pendant rests over her heart. In this way, the wearer completes the design. It is through the lens of becoming that Christ sees us as who we truly are.

Only in Christ do we become our true selves. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:21).

The greatest evidence of our faith is a transformed life – it’s how we are living our everyday lives in our God-given identity as citizens of heaven; as image-bearers;  as co-heirs with Christ; as daughters; as the Beloved.

As you journey with Christ in your own becoming story, may you be hidden in Christ, and all the while, may you metamorphose from what was into what is and what is going to be.  May your wings unfold in the newness of Christ and take flight in your truest identity as his daughter.

Beloved, you are becoming.

From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

2 Corinthians 5:16-21

SERAPHIM

SET APART FOR HOLINESS

The prophet Isaiah tells us that the seraphim are six-winged angels who surround God as He sits upon His exalted throne and who worship God continually. The seraphim call out to each other in God’s presence, “holy, holy, holy!” The word “seraphim” is the plural form of the Hebrew root word “seraph,” which means, “to burn.” These attendant angels burn with love for God.

The seraphim use a three-fold repetition of God’s holiness. In ancient Judaism, the number three signified completeness and stability.

Yesterday, today and tomorrow. Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Raised on the third day.

This hand-carved six-winged necklace pendant folds over itself three times, echoing God's supreme holiness and glory as these heavenly beings do. Also reminiscent of the wings covering the Mercy Seat of the Ark of the Holy of Holies, this modern tri-fold depiction of wings whispers the truth that we are the Now Tabernacle, the tent of meeting: we now find communion with God in the innermost part of our being. We are home of the Holy Spirit in whom he dwells.

If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.

John 14:16-17

LAUREL CROWN

JOY AMIDST SUFFERING

The Laurel Crown design was inspired by the imperishable wreath that Paul speaks of in 1 Corinthians 9:25. This is for the woman who is enduring faithfully, running the race set before with all grit & grace; with all hope & humility. She knows that her hardship produces authentic joy because she is running toward Christ, our Ultimate Joy.

There are forty total leaves that make up this wreath. Additionally, this design points to the significance of forty throughout scripture: trial & victory.

This makes a poignant gift for a 40th birthday or anniversary celebration.

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

James 1:12

ALMOND BLOSSOM

light & watchfulness

The Almond Blossom is for the beloved who is preparing Him room. Inspired by the the holy depths of the tabernacle in the form of the lampstand (Exodus 25:31), to Jeremiah’s vision and God’s promise to perform his Word (Jeremiah 1:11-12), to Aaron’s blooming almond rod (Numbers 17:8), this necklace serves as an emblem of light and watchfulness.

This necklace is for the beloved who is waiting well in this season. While she waits, she keeps her lamp lit, ever watchful for Christ’s return.

Just as the almond blossom is known for its fragrance, may her life be a sweet aroma of Christ (2 Cor. 2:15). May she be a light bearer in this late hour (Phil. 2:15) --this winter season of our world-- and hold fast to Hope in the ultimate Harbinger of spring and new Life.

Stay dressed for action and keep your lamps burning, and be like men who are waiting for their master to come home from the wedding feast, so that they may open the door to him at once when he comes and knocks.

Luke 12:35

heirloom cross

surrendering all

Inspired by the hymn, “The Old Rugged Cross,” the Heirloom Cross necklace embodies the idea of clinging to the emblem of suffering and shame. The diamond in the center of the cross is held by abundant flourishing acanthus leaf which clings to the cross, just as we also cling to the cross.

Acanthus leaf has long served as a symbol of ongoing friendship and/or relationship, especially within the art of heraldic tradition. Here, too, the acanthus leaf represents the friendship we have with God the Father through the Son of Man, securing our eternal heritage through the blood of Christ.

This design was made for the beloved who suffers well, abides in the Vine, and surrenders all at the foot of the cross.

Then Jesus told his disciples, 'If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

Matthew 16:24

hallelujah harp

sing a new song

Hallelujah! is an expression of gratitude and adoration. The term is recited in the book of Psalms and again in Revelation 19. The word "hallelujah" is a combination of two Hebrew words, "hallel" meaning praise and "jah" meaning God. Its English translation: "Praise the Lord!"

The harp is a unique and powerful instrument of worship in heaven and earth symbolizing joy, blessings, comfort, deliverance, peace, praise, and restoration.

Hallelujah! is our declaration; our victory cry; our new song. As the Beloved, we adorn ourselves for the spiritual battle with worship unto the Lord! When we gather as the Beloved and "Hallelujah!" is on our lips, we prepare ourselves for the marriage supper of the Lamb, join in heaven's worship of Christ, and usher in the Kingdom Come.

This design was made for the beloved who readies herself for Christ in worship and praise; who sings a new song unto the Lord!

And I heard a voice from heaven like the roar of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder. The voice I heard was like the sound of harpists playing their harps, and they were singing a new song before the throne…

Revelation 14:3

resilience

a holy resilience

Everyday Heirloom's Resilience Necklace illustrates four total reed joints as the border and eight total reeds on the face of the pendant as a tangible guide to 2 Corinthians chapter four verse eight.

We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; we are persecuted, but not abandoned; we are struck down, but not destroyed. Therefore, we do not give up. Even though our outer person is being destroyed, our inner person is being renewed day by day. For our momentary light affliction is producing for us, an absolutely incomparable, eternal weight of glory.

2 Corinthians 4:8-9 & 16-17, CSB.

These reeds bow into one another, united by a common wind, echoing a strength made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). Additionally, the number eight represents completeness and new beginnings – a process that resilience promises and a prayer that we might, “ let endurance, have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking in nothing (James 1:4)."

2 Corinthians 4:8-9 & 16-17, CSB

ABIDE

vinedresser of our faith

The Abide Collection reminds us of the truth that when we abide in the community of the Triune, there is fullness of joy.

“A soul filled with large thoughts of the Vine will be a strong branch, and will abide confidently in Him. Be much occupied with Jesus, and believe much in Him, as the True Vine.”

“And all the branch possesses belongs to the vine. The branch does not exist for itself, but to bear fruit that can proclaim the excellence of the vine: it has no reason of existence except to be of service to the vine. Glorious image of the calling of the believer, and the entireness of his consecration to the service of his Lord.”

―Andrew Murray, Abide in Christ

I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. As the father loved me, i have also loved you; abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as i have kept my father’s commandments and I abide in his love.

John 15:5-6 & 9-10

What the Beloved are saying…

Christy Nockels

Singer-songwriter, worship leader + author of ‘The Life You Long For’

[The Abide Collection] has already spoken to me time and again. Not only did this treasure come in time for my release of the song, “Abide,” it also felt personally timely — from God’s heart to mine — in a season that I needed to remember that He truly SEES me. I don’t need gold jewelry to be assured of this but maybe that’s what actually made it felt a bit extravagant and really special.

I speak and write a lot on worshipping Christ in our everyday lives. The Seraphim are beings with a posture of reverence and humility before a holy God, and this piece reminds me to align my heart with that kind of awe and wonder.
